This toolkit was developed through collaboration across the health, education, economic development, and social sectors to address the decline in the public health workforce and high turnover rates in First Nations communities. By taking a cross-sectoral, community-driven approach, the toolkit aims to support recruitment, retention, and capacity-building strategies that reflect the lived realities and priorities of the 133 First Nations in Ontario.
